Heute hatten wir sogar 3 anstatt normal 2 Sprünge – gut für mich, ich habe noch viel zu tun. Ich stehe hinter dem Ski in der Luft, normalerweise ist das leicht auszubessern aber ich kriegs noch net ganz hin. Vielleicht schaut es ja morgen anders aus. Wir werdens sehen.

Today, we even had 3 instead of 2 jumps – it was good for me because I have to change my flight style. I am not in a great balance during the flight, normally it’s not a big problem to solve but anyhow I’m not able to. Maybe there is a little change tomorrow, I hope it.

Naja, es war nicht meine Woche in Hinterzarten. Das Teamspringen war ok, aber trotzdem muss ich noch viel arbeiten, da sich wieder Fehler in meinen Sprung eingeschlichen haben. Trotzdem muss ich auch damit zurechtkommen. Die nächste Chance dafür ist am Wochenende in Zakopane / POL.

It was no my week in Hinterzarten. The team competition was ok, but I have to work on, many mistakes came back again into my jump. I must learn to handle with it, the next chance is in Zakopane / POL in the weekend.

I have already said it: It’s not over. Today’s is the team competition in which we want to defend our last year’s title. It won’t be easy – the Germans have a really great team with 4 jumpers who all can jump over 100 / 105m. So we have to concentrate to ourself and do the job.

Mario Innauer will being for Austria, I do the second jump, Florian Schabereiter is in the third group and junior world ski champion Michael Hayböck will finish.

15.30 - Eurosport 2 and the second round (ca. 16.40) also BR (unsure) and SWR (sure)

It was disappointing. Nothing more to say – 102m /  93,5m / Rank 16.

but the mission is not over.

The training is over. I didn’t show the best jumps, I was testing some new material but I’ve now found the best combination. Tomorrow, I will be in a special situation and have to bypass it with a relaxed feeling. So I think I’m ready for tomorrow and can start in the Mission Hinterzarten 2010

In today’s afternoon, we arrived here in the Black Forest. Our first station was the accreditation center, the second the hotel but we are going to the opening ceremony soon. Tomorrow at 16.00 are the first two training rounds.

It was not easy. I was jumping with a new jumpshoe these 2 days, so I had to get the feeling for it because a new shoe is very strong. Today, I also tried the new ski – but there wasn’t much difference between the old and the new one. Only my jumps were not like always, I really made old mistakes that I didn’t believe they could come back.  Another problem is that I was not able to change much from jump to jump until the end of the training came. 21 meters more than the jump before – an unexpecting but a happy end. I think I have to go on working now but the good old feeling comes back more and more.

Tomorrow, it will be the last jumping session/lesson in the morning, then I go back home to relax a day before we depart to Hinterzarten on Sunday evening / Monday midday (departure at stams)

At first: Until the end of the Junior World Ski Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten (31.01.2010), I will write the stories and posts only in English. I’m sorry!

5 days are left to the beginning of the Junior World Ski Championships and U23 cross-country skiing World Ski Championships in Hinterzarten, Black Forest. Already in the last year after Strbske Pleso, I knew that I really must look forward to this event, to the best organised junior world ski championship as many voices said.

From today, I will prepare in Kranj with Michael Hayböck and Florian Schabereiter who were also in the JWSC Team in the last year. This year, Mario Innauer and Björn Koch are new in the team.

After Neustadt, I found out some old and new mistakes to improve and will try it in Kranj with the new ski which comes directly from FISCHER to the Hotel in Slovenia. (thx Michi ) Tomorrow, the first jump “lesson” takes place, hopefully with a great weather like today.

Nachdem ich im Training mehr oder weniger Mist gebaut hab, dacht ich mir, ich hätte es mit dem Probedurchgang (143,5m) beseitigt. Doch dem war leider nicht so. Nach dem 1. Durchgang war ich noch an 2. Stelle mit 137m, rutschte dann aber im 2. mit 132m auf den 7. Platz zurück. Dieser Durchgang wurde auch mehrmals unterbrochen, insgesamt wurde um 7 Luken verkürzt – unter anderem dank 148m und Schanzenrekord von Richard Freitag / GER. Heute um 13.00 folgt (hoffentlich, Wind bläst ziemlich) der Probedurchgang, anschließend der Bewerb.

The training was not very good. I thought on the next day, that would be over (after the trial round, 143,5m) but I was wrong. In the first round, it was quite ok, I took the 2nd place but in the final round, I made a mistake after the take-off and had no chance to do another quite good jump. I dropped back to the 7th place.
